3860 Shaft Bent

Rommer
I did call him and went to his office. We talked for two hours and and rommer your right there is more to the story. What I dont Know. The dealer got wind that I went to him .They called the factory rep in and he told me that they are not going to do anything for me other then fix it. After that I called the Attorney several times and till this day he has never returned my call..That is strange It pays to be an attorney. What is sad that when the port side blow off I was over in the Island. They put a patch on it till I can return to my home port. They fixed only the port side. and told me it was fixed. The next year we went on a trip and the starboard side blow off and all the salt water got in to the engine harness.and fried it. I lost everything
all power, no gps I was out in the ocean for 6 hours until seatow found us.It 930 at night with 6 foot seas. When we left The seas were only 1 to 3. The run was supose to take 6 to 8 hours. When I called the plant and raised hell. They went to picked the boat up. When they fixed it they told me that the old style pipe was still on.So they put the new one on. The salt sprayed all over the engine room ,now I have rust show up every wear. I have two options.1 suck it up. 2 Or sell it.

Did you hire him? Did you pay him for his time?

What you went thru sounds horrible. Sorry you had such a difficult time at sea. Are you expecting compensation for this? From what little you are telling us it sounds like Regal is willing to repair the defects and damage but the lawyer doesn't feel you have a case for anything more than that. (Never met a lawyer yet that didn't want another case)

I think you have a 3rd option, let Regal repair all the damage and enjoy the boat.

Regal did repair everything. The boat ran great untill we had that mishap over in the Island the next year with the shaft that broke off at the prop on the port side ,and the captain that runs the cruise club told us sorry we have to leave you, and they did. The whole group . Nobody stayed behind to help. The Island we were stuck on is a little Island called Orchard Bay. 200 miles east of West Palm beach Fl. .No cars Just bikes coachman gulf cart to get around. My wife cried for three days .THe thing that made it bad is that we had two small dog. No kennals to put the dogs in to fly home.We charted a 9 seater single engine plane so we can put our dogs on our laps. We were there for 5 days trying to get of the Island.wE HAD Boat US tow the boat to West End.I learned that Boat us picks up the tab up to 5,000 dollars then you have to pay the rest, even tho you have unlimited towing,in witch we had to pay 8,000 dollars out of our pocket. Then Sea Tow towed it from West End to West Palm Beach to get it fixed. That was free. To make a long story short we ended up paying 18,000 for the hole thing including getting it fixed. I called my dealer and talked to the service manager to see what he can do or offer to fix it over in the Island.I was willing to pay to have a mechanic and the parts flown over to get fixed. HE said I dont know. This is the same guy that I had a small drip in the faucet in the sink above the ice maker. I went to see him to buy a new faucet and he told me that I had to bring the boat in to be tested. With my mouth wide open. I said ok. You will pay for the hull out and the transport of the boat to your shop.He said no ,what size boat do you have? I said if you would have ask me the first time ,You wouldnt look so stupid.I knew I was in trouble. He no longer works there. My life story of my 3860. I bought this boat to use, to travel. not to sit there.Im triing to get my wife back on the boat but she is scared of death of it so it sits there Thanks for your time the end.
