Does anybody know if there will be 4th of July fireworks on the south shore this year?

check the Gucci website.
We are going to liberty landing to see the Macy's show.
Will be my first time seeing it.

I read somewhere Jones Beach was cancelled. Just cruising the bay, great private shows can be seen.

Come with us to liberty landing.
They still have slips

The Grucci website is showing fireworks on the 4th, just says 'Fire Island' with the Captree Fleet as the contact. Last year I anchored out a little west of Sailor's Haven on the 4th and ended up within a mile or so of the fireworks barge. Not sure if it will be exactly the same spot this year, in the past they had them further east. Last year's spot was convenient for the Captree boats which I heard last year were paying for them.

I gave serious thought to Liberty Landing. Three night minimum which would not be a problem except the Admiral leaves for Italy on Sunday.

If anyone anchors off of tanner park they'll be able to see s great home done fireworks show my friend outs on from his house

From Boaters World:

NYC - Macy's 4th
Sag Harbor - 7/6
Riverhead - 7/4
Shelter Island - 7/6
Glen Cove - 7/4 and 7/6+7/7
South Hampton - 7/5
Gardiners Island - 7/6
Block Island - 7/3
Montauk - 7/4
Port Jeff - 7/4

I know there used to be one in Bay Shore too...

hope this list helps.

Thanks for the responses! I also read about the show that will be somewhere on Fire Island but the Captree website doesn't say exactly where.

Oh well I was hoping to see something at Port Washington on the 4th or maybe Huntington on the 5th or 6th I guess I will have to settle for the one show on the 3rd in the Hudson.

We'll watch on the Hudson on the 3rd, then be at Montauk Yacht Club on the 4th, and watch theirs!

I just got this from the Snapper Inn:

FIREWORKS BY GRUCCI WEDNESDAY,
JULY 3rd ON THE CONNETQUOT RIVER

Thanks, Dave

That's now our plan for the 3rd and then on the morning of the 4th we will head to Zachs.

Went last year - amazing show, especially since the barge is on the river. We barbecued on boat before dark and then sat on bow and show was right over us. AMAZING! Most boats left afterwards, but we spent the night. Who ever goes will be glad they did!

The ony negagtive is, we felt terrible for our dogs, since it was pretty loud and they don't do well with fireworks as it is. I highly recommend leaving pets home, if you can!

A friend just mentioned going out tonight and I checked the Grucci site again and they have the show listed tonight by the Snapper Inn and tomorrow the Captree fleet show so I guess they are doing both nights!

Is anyone going to the snapper inn fireworks tonight? We should be there by 6:30 and will be on the hook for the night.

Update: saw a bunch of open slips at the View (of course we thought it was the Snapper Inn) so we pulled in and we are barely 1/4 mile from the fireworks barge. Should be a great show.

Tough night to be out in the bay watching fireworks. Just got back a little while ago from watching my son sail down in Amityville. Very windy, choppy, and some lightning just before it got dark.
I hope tomorrow night is better so we can get a little boating time in.
For some reason the Bay doesn't seem to be laying down when it gets dark. I hope that changes soon.

The July 4th show across the bay was very nice. Same spot as last year.
