Hi,

Ok, looked at the 330 Sundancer and I liked the lines and the set up but wifey didn't like the seating in the cockpit. She likes the 350 instead. I am on the fence regarding the 350 because I don't like how the rotating helms chair feels when you spin it to face the rear. Also, and this is petty, i don't like the long side window mixed with the circular window.

Anyway, went to Marinemax on Long Island and was told that there is a 350 50th anniversay version in gold hull. I saw a pic and it wasn't to either my wife or my liking. I told the salesman that and he said that the hull could be painted to any color I wanted. The boat has everything and is fully loaded except the hydaulic platform. Seacore, axius, teak, everything for $315K. Might even be able to get him lower as that was his first offer.

Is that a good price and more importantly, should I be running away from a dealership that offers to spray a boat to the color you like using imron paints?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Alan

Personally, I would never buy new even if I could afford it. I paid less than 1/3 of that for Saint Max with brand new engines and 104 hours on the total rig. As a matter of fact, she is for sale for a lot less than 1/3 of the new one.

$200+K buys a lot of fuel.

We looked at the new 350 in the Dallas boat show. When we got off the boat my wife and I were comparing the boat with our 2001 340. Because of the lack or storage (hanging lockers) our 340 has 3 times the locker space. The cockpit is larger the cabin is smaller than our 340, and other differences; I told her I would not trade our 340 even for the new 350. The salesman heard me and asked what boat we now owned. When I told him he agreed. By the way the new 380 is just a stretched 360 with more cockpit.

$315,000. Are they out of their minds. I paid 175,000 for my 2004 340 new with all options minus a bow thruster.Dont waste your money.Offer them 220,000 or buy used(crazy huge margins on these boats). You could get a used 340 for $120000 to 150,000.

They are high balling you. See how low they will go, then walk out the door.
They will be calling or mailing you with a lot better offer later.
