BTW, the bed is still a compromise. :( The cabinetry still wedges me into a narrower space than I would prefer.
Worse yet, is having to tilt my head to take a leak!... :)

I have 8.1 Crusaders, 2004, fuel injected, 502 CI and the HP for them is 385 hp. Crusader later models (2005 and on) made a 8.1 HO version that was 425 hp. I think at best, you would be 385HP, thinking if they are carb motors it may be less.

Regardless, it should be plenty of power
 
Thx, Walter. I have no concerns, I'm sure they're enough power. I'd still interested to know the hp numbers tho. I was excited to think they might be more efficient, relatively speaking, than my carb'd 7.4's. Not even sure if TBI is considered more desireable than carbs, I know EFI is a different story. My carb'd 7.4's did run great this year, I honestly have no complaints either way.
 
8.1s are 496 cubic inches...8.2s are 502 cubic inches. The 8.1 is a newer engine with higher power output and better reliability.
