We have found ours stays hot and warm for hours after leaving the slip, perhaps you could just bypass it and it would be one less thing to worry about?
We plan on doing just that, this coming season, since the genset will run, and really, we've never had a need for hot water while out for the day, of course we're back in the slip every night too...
