Since new my boat has had ablative paint. It seems to work fine on the bottom, but the sides still develop slime and sludge. Problem is, you go to scrub it, and the brush takes the ablative paint right off. Second, my water line was too low, so I developed barnacles right above the line. Again, when I go srub them off, I am also taking the paint and bottom paint protection off. The boat is slipped April 1st through Nov 30th, and already I lost alot of my side protection. Can I do a combo of hard paint for the waterline section, and ablative for the bottom? I want to be able to scrub the waterline, but not develop build-up on the bottom.
