Im sure thankfull for this forum. I hope Im not wearing out my welcome! Im trying to get the Heat/AC to work now. I have water at the inlet from my hose with a plunger type water feed. The original motor would not turn on, it had power but wouldnt run. So i got another 100v pump and connected it. It does turn on now when i select heat but will only run for 3-5 seconds then shuts off. I hear clicking sounds in the AC unit, solenoids sounds, and the fan comes on too. With out water to it I get an error code LO PS after a few min run time. What should i check or look at?
Thanks again!
Doug

LO Pressure can mean amything from inadequate water flow, a bad cpmressor to low freon. My guess is this still could be a circulation pump issue. Did you calculate the lift and capacity for the replacement AC/Heat water circulation pump? You can try a temporry solution running a pressurized garden hose (dock water) through the system in place of the pump and see if you have the same relay chatter and shut down code you are describing or if it works.
Marine AC circulation pumps are not self priming and must be below the waterline.

You're likely to get a much better response if you post this in one of the general forums. (Unless you only want to hear from Carver owners, but thisn't specific to Carver).

The low pressure error came before i replaced the pump, now it just runs a fews seconds and turns off. It is pushing water out the exit port. The pump is rated a 350 GPH and has a 7' lift cap. The original is a PML500L is 510GPH but I wouldnt think that would make much of a differance unless the pressure isnt there. I will try the bypass and see what it does.

Yes the AC does work. Connected the hose and got heat. Guess the pump i got doesnt make enough pressure to switch the sensor on. need to get the bigger one. Atleast I know it works tho, thanks for the sugestion bill!

well finally got it figured out. I had the old pump sitting on the table and decided to take it apart incase something had lodged in it. When I got down to the motor, i could feel it turned but was slightly rough feeling, after i spun it 3-4 times it freed up. I reassembled it and tested it and not it works fine. It looks as though its water cooled. It has a line from the pump into the motor housing and then it returns near the exit of the pump. thinking it got something in there crud'ed it up. That saved me 300 bux!

Did you try the garden hose trick? This would have proven it was water flow related. I noticed my units are more sensative in heat mode than AC mode. Usually an early warning sign you are going to have problems with a reverse air unit when they act up in heat mode but seem to work okin AC or cool mode.
I am glad you got it running what brand was the pump you repaired?

yes the hosed proved the unit worked and the pump was not flowing enough water. Glad I got the original fixed, they are $$$$$!
Thnaks again!
