We have a 2008 searay 330 and we are having a problem with our marine AC. It's blowing air but not cold air. We already cleaned out the strainer and used water hose to blow silt from AC unit. It got a little better but still not blowing cold air as it's supposed to. Who would you highly recommend to fix it?

He just did work on my boat and I'm very happy with his work

Abalmuth what was the problem with your AC? BTW Thank you for the recommendation.

one of my units was not coming on at all, it needed a control board as well as a passport panel.
Although he had very many on his truck he didn't have the right ones for my unit, got it in a couple of days.
He was recommended by a Brewers Yard & carries enough insurance to work in most yards

Not an AC expert but these units seem to be pretty simple. I’ve been able to straighten out a few thing on my two units to keep them blowing ice cold.
It’s always good to clear the water line and clean the strainer, but if that was your problem your unit would shut down and throw a Lo Ps code.
Sound like your unit is running and not throwing codes so flow isn’t the problem.
The systems are sealed so it’s not likely that you need refrigerant.
Sounds more like the unit isn’t going in to, or accuratelynstaying in cooling mode.
You may want to try cleaning the filter and condenser and coil too.
Those things get clogged up with dust quickly.
Also, if you have the SMX controller, try a factory reset.
I had to replace one of mine last year. They have really flimsy boards in them. I try to use the remote as much as possible now rather than pushing the buttons.
I did a factory reset on my other controller because the temps were way off making it think it was cooler than it really was in my forward cabin and causing the compressor to shut off leaving just the fan running.
I did a factory reset and it’s been running like a champ ever since.
If cleaning everything and doing a factory reset don’t work then it’s probably time to call a technician, but in the meantime it may pay to see what you can do on your own first to get you through the next few days.

No problem. Hope it works out.
Either way, post back when you get it straightened out so we know what it was.

I use marine specialists for A/C stuff.
Always fix issues, not cheap though.

Despite these units being sealed, mine was low on refrigerant about 10 years ago and wasn't blowing cold air. A friend recharged it and have been good to go ever since. Never did identify the leak, but has been holding ever since recharging.
