I'm posting a summery of the Lake of the Ozarks
Water Patrol report because of how the injury was received. You have to wonder sometimes about stupidity.
Shoal runner and a pontoon boat were side by side on the Osage River in front of Bonnots Mill access.The injured party had his leg hanging over port gunwhale. The Seadoo utility boat struck the shoal runner in the starboard bow area causing the shoal runner to impact the pontoon boat causing the injury. Operator of the Seadoo utility boat fled the scene. He was later located on Thursday, June 1, 2006 by the investigating officer.
