If anyone is considering getting a first or a replacement EPIRB, now is the time to do it. ACR is having a heck of a promotional price with most distributors and now has a $100 rebate. I just got a new 2844 Class 2, and with the rebate, my out of pocket will only be $310. I was considering updating to the a GPS model, and my decision came very clear, I was unlading the boat in December and dropped my strictly satellite based unit, and the housing cracked. I believe offer is good till end of May purchases.

I believe everyone should have an EPIRB even if you are a lonely night bay boater!
I have owned a pair of ACR EPIRB's (406 GPS) for the last 6 years and a pair of PLB's (406) that my wife and I wear.
