I have a 98 Mariner and would love to enclose or at least put an awning over the aft deck. Has anyone done this, do you have pictures? I hate to put the poles on the sides as it would restrict access, sometimes we have to get on and off the boat on the side. The two canvas companies I have talked to don't seem to have any idea how to do it, and I have not seen another Mariner that has that.

Morning "Tip Sea" I know I have seen a type of "extended awning" that slips out from the frame over the sliding door on one of the Mariners I had seen on a web site - I've looked at my 3297 mariner and was thinking of investigating the use of a fold over from a center console arrangement - maybe modify the unit to slide vs flip but the challenge is going to be the question about coverage space and that you only really get good shade during the peak hours of the day....at the dock I'll probably use a simple yard awning on poles with some weights - then dismantle quickly for departure - any ideas from you?
