I seem to be having AC issues this season.
I ran the AC for the first time and 2-3 times it froze up solid and blocked all airflow of course and just kept running with no results.
i was getting good water flow but upon inspection the condensor was frozen solid.
So I reversed to heat to melt, took about 2 min to melt...waiting a few...turned back on the AC and it worked fine for a few hours.
then again the next day same thing....
It was hot but I was only asking for about 72 degrees not 55 or anything crazy.
My thought is the freon may be low? What else would cause this...and is this something I can do myself...like in the days of adding to cars?
I have a formula 27PC, but that does not tell you much....I can't seem to recall the make of the AC unit, but it is the same one that most my friends seem to have as well.
