I have a 1990 Thompson 260 Fisherman with 5.7 Liter, Alpha 1 outdrive and need to replace outdrive water hose as it is all dry checked. I need to remove the 2 hinge pins and do not have the special tool. I was wondering if anyone knows if the same size Torx type tool would work or if the tool is required. I have seen tool on e-bay for about $14.00 so not a big deal to order but was wondering if Torx would work. Thanks for the help. Great site with great people.
