I've got a Xintex/Fireboy LLM-2 gauge that has inputs for both the waste and freshwater tanks. Trouble is their waste tank sender constantly clogs up. It's a hollow column with sensor wires inside of it. It randomly reads incorrectly and basically, with this design, I see of no way to keep it from happening.

The tanks are semi-translucent white plastic (probably polyethylene by the looks of it) and have 1.5" NPT threaded openings for the existing senders. There are two wires (pos/neg) from each sender back to the gauge. The gauge mounts in a round gauge-size hole. I haven't measured it (or looked in the manual PDF) but it's probably a 2 1/8" hole.

So, are there other senders that'll work with this gauge? I'd prefer to avoid replacing more than necessary.

Tiara installs a poor sensor as well. It is the number one warranty item. My selling dealer recommends Tank Tender (google it) and promises that it will work. No wires or electricity. It works off of air pressure as explained on the company's web site. I'll be having one installed in about 2 weeks. The technology has been around for 10-15 years.

I have the llm4, and the waste tank sender has always been erratic. I thought it was clogging up due to the design, also, and put a nylon screen over the bottom to keep it clear. It still doesn't work. I called Fireboy/Xintex, who said they weren't aware of any issues with this application.

Now my fresh water tank no longer reads correctly- it shows either completely full or completely empty, and never in between. I think I'm going to pull the Xintex setup out and replace with a Snake River.

All in all, I feel like I wasted a lot of money and time on a lousy product.

How well do you think on of the external sensor setups would work on an older tank. My boat is 1994 and the polyethylene is showing a little age....a little discolored and maybe some build up inside. Do the sensors still work through the agd plastic ???

Vic-
My Fresh water tank is between the stringers and the sides are inaccessable- I don't think the Raritan tank monitor will work. I need an in the tank pickup.

Doesn't Boatfix still list the Snake River?
