So I've tried looking for it here because I know I've read it before but I couldn't find it.....So here it is again...Our boat has a 13# Danforth on it, not anything special just a standard, with 6' of chain then 1/2" rode. Every time we go to anchor we find it hard to catch a good hook....We are ususally anchoring in 10-15' of water with a sand or mud bottom. We let out about 40' of rode, only for the fact that there are several dozen boats on the hook and want to restrict our swing. The problem seems the same the more rode we let out...SO...Any thoughts on a larger Delta Plow type anchor? Would this be a better option for us.....Or am I just missing something?
