Who can do the The Curly Shuffle……?

Which is a novelty song by the group Jump 'N The Saddle Band first released in 1983, an homage to the Three Stooges film comedy team. Jump 'N The Saddle Band had one of the biggest novelty hits of the early 1980s with the song.

The song had the band's lead vocalist Peter Quinn mimicking many of Curly Howard's catch phrases. The song was distinctive enough to climb to number 15 on Billboard Hot 100 in early 1984, but the group never managed to produce another hit, partially because they fell into a dispute with their record label Atlantic when it came time to record a follow-up.

I didn't watch it till later in life. My Dad would never let us watch it, afraid my brother and I would hit each other with wrenches!
 
I had one TV in my house growing up, the only thing I could watch was what my father watched when he watched TV, if he was not watching TV, the the TV was not allowed to be turned on. I guess this is why I have 9 TVs in the house and 2 on the boat. :)

I remember Officer Joe Bolton prefacing each show with a admonition that they were professional actors and not to do this at home.

Curly Shuffle - great song, I still have the 45.

Why is it that only guys find them funny?
