Slips are easier to rent than houses or apartments.
Though I had a bad experience last year, I am smarter now and will write a stronger rental agreement.
Issue I find is people try to take advantage of landlords.
They think landlords are wealthy and can afford to be taken advantage of, which is not always true.
I am renting because I haven't been able to sell. Rent needs to cover expenses, hassle, cost of money, etc.
I wish i could make more on the slip rental wise, but I feel the AYC office keeps the rents too low.
If you rented this slip in a decent marina on Long Island, you would pay about $125 to $150 a foot not including winter storage.
That is like $5 to $6K just for summer!
Then another $1K for storage.
AYC has always been cheap for people and when you look at what you get its a great deal!
Show me another marina where you put your car behind your slip, with pool, tennis, security for less.
