The annapolis power boat show is this weekend. Anyone else going. I was planning to head over on Saturday but may go Sunday now instead since I am running the Baltimore 1/2 marathon Saturday morning.

I would like to go. I haven't been at that show in quite awhile. Unfortunately, I am on standby this weekend.

We'll be there with a bunch of friends. We go down on Saturday afternoon, staying at the Doubletree Hotel. ( courtesy van shuttles to and from the show) Play Saturday night then hit the show on Sunday. Always a good time.

We have company this weekend so we won't make it.

Jamie - give me a ring about lunch time Sunday. I will try to meet up with you for a bit.

Have just spent the day today attending the show. Great weather, lots of boats to see, altho, fewer overall than I expected, to be honest.
Sabre 48 salon express, and Hunt 52 my favourites from today. There is a Carver 2007 38 SS that has NEVER been sold, avail at a good price!!
And a used 2006 Carver 466 motor yacht in really good shape, as well.
Currently sitting in the Doubletree Hilton lobby. Nice using the hotel shuttle.
We have 2 used boats to look at on our 9 hr drive home, one in Long Island, and one in Clayton.

Went to the show last Friday on the 12th,
Haven't been there since 07
We went for many year's on Friday,
would get there about 8;30 or so,would crawl into town with all the traffic. Bar's were hopping, etc
When we got there this year about 9;30 and with the Naval accademy gate in sight ,we thought we had the wrong day.
I would say around 2 in the afternoon the were as many people as there used to be around 11,maybe
Ocean yacht;s were not even there, they used to bring around about 5,6,7 boat's
Viking had 1 50ft sportfish and 1 42 open cockpit.and 1 euroboat,they used to have 3 big sportfist and 1 or 2 euros
We used to get breakfast(and bloddy mary;s) at I think it was Ego's right there at ego alley,we would have about a dozen of us or so around 9 or so in the morning, and when we would get up to go,there would usually be other people hanging around that would usually grab our table.
This year at that time, some of those places looked barely open.
Found some info online that the sailboat show had decent attendance, can't seem to find anything yet on the powerboat show attendance,it's either to early,or I haven't hit the right sites.
O well ,a sign of the economy I guess
Still had a good time,it's the event for us.
Joe

John, sorry... Missed your post! Anyway, had a good time and have to agree with Transmanjoe,. show was not like past shows. Everyone I spoke with said sailboat show was much more bustling the weekend before. Still worth my time going though!
