We usually do our two week trip in July, but waited until August this year.

Got a delayed start when our dog got attacked by another dog at the marina.

Left on Saturday and headed to Branford, where get free dockage as Safe Harbor members.
Spent 3 excellent days there, then off to Pilot's Point for two more free nights!

Both marinas are nice, but Pilot's Point was not as clean as in the past.

Headed over to Block, where our son and daughter- in-law met us. Two days of lousy weather, and three beautiful days.

Came over to Greenport today, another two free nights at Stirling Harbor!

Sorry to hear about your dog, hope he/she is doing OK.

We did Branford, Deep River (for the storm last week) then Essex Island.

Did you venture out at Branford, it's a hike but we found a nice seafood shack/restaurant.

The free transient slips must be awesome! I wonder if they have a program for guys like me that don't have Safe Harbor near them but prefer to stay at Safe Harbor marinas?

The restaurant on-premises is only open weekends, so we didn't get to go. Walked to Bill's Seafood the first night, then dinner back the second. They have a dock right at the restaurant

No trip for me this year. Between buying a new home in NC and a late start because of Corona this year was pretty much a wash out for me. Been out on my boat about four times this year. Hopefully next year is better or i may have to rethink boat ownership. Not that math ever works with boating but that comes out to be about $5k for each use.

If you get out of boating, where the kids party over the winter???

Starry Night of course. After all, they broke into his boat first and stole all his booze and then took it to my boat to party. I wonder if they found all that pot they smoked in my cabin on his boat too.

Let Greenport yesterday and hit 2' - 4' seas on the Sound, heading to Stratford.
It got so bad, we turned into Pilot's Point in Westport for the night. Had a HUGE prime rib for dinner!

Off for Stratford in an hour, then home tomorrow...

Nice ride to Stratford today, less than 1' seas and good visibility. There is a wicked current in this marina, made docking very interesting!

Every Safe Harbor marina has been clean, with great dockhands and excellent restaurants. Got ten free nights, worth almost $2500!

Our last night, 2 1/2 weeks flew by...

Five hour ride home today, clam seas, nice ride. Travelled 375 miles over two weeks.
Boat ran great, and we only had two lousy weather days.

Ate plenty of lobster rolls, and loads of other delicious meals. Met some great people, and had a fabulous time.

Two weeks really flies by...
