I ordered a Alpha I gen 2 magnesium anode kit from BoatFix.com part # MER-888755A.
In addition to the parts I expected, 6 anodes, nuts, lock washers and a small rubber gasket the box had this rubber piece. I don't know what it is or where it goes.
This piece is rubber, 1 inch long oval, ВЅ inch wide one way and 3/8 the other since its oval. It has a 1/8" hole that goes in about ВЅ" the long way. On the opposite side of the hole the piece has a small lip.
Can someone please tell me what this piece is / where it goes?
