Ok I posted this on another forum 2 weeks ago, since there's a few anchoring threads going on right now I thought I'd share this with y'all........
So I'm at Wingarsheek Beach last weekend, Sunday, the hot 95 degree day they'd been warning us about. Oh, and there were a "few" other boats there as well. Anyways, I'm in my inflatable visiting a friend when I look up and see a couple of 40' + boats untieing from each other and pulling up the anchors via their windless systems. All of the sudden I see the chain and large anchor from one of the boats come up with the other guys anchorline wrapped around it a couple of times! Being the nice guy that I am, I start the 8 horse and bolt over to the scene. I'm directly under the big 40 lb. + anchor trying to get the line around it, which ain't happening cause it's tight at the anchor end and even tighter coming from the other guy's bow who's starting to pivot into the other boats now, so someone decides to drop the anchor into my raft, which I'm not too happy about, so I hang it off my bow and start unwrapping the big anchor around the other guy's rode. That's when my BAD DOG decides to embarass me! Yeah, I felt the claws dig into my sunburned back, yeah I felt her start the gyrating/humping/female dog dominance thing, but I had my hands full and just tried to shake her off. That's when I hear "Mommy look", "Daddy look", "Look at that dog", "Look at that guy" and realize my backside's facing a half dozen boat raftup. Now my fixed female dog's been known to do that to a couple of the women in my life, but it ain't never happened to me, she may have tried it once or twice and promptly been smacked! Anyways, thank god no one got that one on film, I hope..... Oh ya, I didn't get why I was offered a cigarette after finishing the job either, Jeff explained they were trying to make a joke. Har friggin har..........
