I heard the incident unfolding on the VHF. The person talking the the CG stated 2 people in the water, then (a few minutes later) 1 person receiving chest compressions and unresponsive. It didn't sound good.
I looked and can't find anything in the papers.

I heard about this at my marina on Sunday. I have not seen anything in the papers or on the news.

Maryland Natural Resources Police are investigating a fatal accident on the Elk River in Cecil County.

Twenty-one-year-old Kristy Szewczak of Philadelphia was a passenger on a personal watercraft that collided Saturday afternoon with a 42-foot powerboat near Town Point.

She died at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.

The operator of the watercraft, 30-year-old Christopher Leight of Warminster, Pennsylvania, is in critical condition at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

The six people aboard the boat weren't injured.

Kristy is one of my best friends and if anyone know anything I know I would like to know. Her family and friends are all devestated. She was on the jet ski with her cousin. I haven't seen anyting about it and would like some info.

Ashley, My deepest sympathy goes out too you and all of the friends and families involved. Truly devastating incident. It really brings a new perspective for me being so close to my home. I will be more careful out there. Peace and Prayers.

Ashley,

I also heard the accident unfolding on the VHF as it occurred. My heart and prayers are with you and the family of Kristy.
