I would love to learn a bit more about aluminum cruiser boats for sale in this area. All the AL boats I can find are on the West Coast.

Thanks

I'll take that as a no! Ha ha!

I spoke with a custom AL builder but the cost estimate for a 25' cruiser was 2-4 times the price offered by some of the West Coast companies offering production models.

I wonder why AL has not taken off here? I'm also curious why pilot house boats are not more popular. I think canvas should be illegal on boats in the Northeast (he he). It seems for a reasonable price I'm stuck with using at least some canvas on the next boat :
It's also frustrating to learn that no brand of fiberglass and core construction boats are immune from core damage resulting from poor manufacturing. You can even find Whalers and other reputable boats with core damage. I have not yet found a company that properly seals for things like swim platforms, windlasses, etc., etc. They drill, squirt in some sealer, then call it a day. No wonder 95% of boats have a 5 year warranty. Grrrr...anyway this was why I was exploring AL cruisers. I guess as owners we need to properly seal all the holes in our hulls and decks.
