I'm looking for a setup that, along with fuel flow, will give me a digital tach and synch readout similar to what you see in most of the promo shots of the Lowrence LMF-400. However, even the Lowrence website has almost no info on the unit or components.
I have a pair of 1990 Crusaders, so there is no engine computer to hook into. The system would have to be able to read info regarding rpms etc from some other source. I can't tell whether the LMF-400 can do that or not.
I see that Maretron has a NMEA2000 system that includes an engine interface, but the interface unit isn't scheduled to be released until next month and again there is very little info available. Plus the Maretron system appears to be very expensive.
Anybody familiar with the new NMEA2000 systems, or is this stuff still too new?
