Any owners of Legacy Yachts?

Hi Mike R.....so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Holidays and working full time got the best of me. To answer your question, my prop is 4 bladed and the same one that came on the boat. There is another beautiful Legacy 32 not the market in Annapolis. It's quite a build. I would be happy to share with you some of my documentation but it is all on the boat. I do not know then sump pump maker off hand, but I do remember some of the things. The shaft seal is PSS - model don not know. Ask me and I'll try to get the info for you

JHC

Hi JHC,
I found out the prop was supplied to Legacy by H&H Prop, and is a 22x22.
Slowly assembling information for the boat.
When I bought my Silverton, they were still around and I was able to get a lot from them.
Anything I can get from you would be great!
That boat with the Hard back and awning set-up in Annapolis is a nice boat.
I decided I am putting a stern thruster on my boat.

I think the stern thruster is a worth while addition and will pay off if you ever sell.

I would live with the fridge as is as you pointed out. It's probably not something that would pay in the long run unless you really felt strongly about it. We rarely use the galley on our Whisperjet. We do use the fridge but also have a cooler mounted on the bridge deck that gets more use on extended weekend trips.

Probably right on converting the cooler box to a freezer, may not be money well spent.
Replacing motor mounts and aligning shaft, prop going out to H&H.
Going back and forth on some questions on the stern thruster. Boat has some upgraded electronics, Raymarine E125, and new HD color radar, so I am pretty much set there for the time being.
Appreciate the feedback, and looking forward to whatever documentation JHC can provide.

Question. This boat has 2 tanks with a crossover. My old boat had 2 individual tanks. When re-fueling,, do I fill both tanks from one fuel fill location or fill one tank then the other?
Thanks,
Mike

Just fill from one location. Leave the crossover open. The visual gauge on the port tank is very helpful. I don't always trust the electronic readout

JHC

JHC,
Can you let me know the model for your stern thruster. I am looking at a couple of quotes, and it seems that the are thinking of going smaller based on a limit on the tunnel size the installers believe can be installed in the rear.
Appreciate any information.
Mike

Hi Mike.......I know that the thrusters are Side-Power and. That the stern thruster is less powerful and smaller than the bow thruster.....I do not know the model number. That is on the boat under snow and shrink wrap right now. The stern thruster is attached to the stern under the swim platform with access through the Lazarists from the cockpit. Hope this helps

John (JHC),
Did you close on the sale of Endorfin? We spent the summer working out gremlins on the 2007 32 Legacy.
I have a couple of questions that are driving me crazy:
Is there a vent filter for the holding tank, and if so where is it
We have water in the inspection plate in the floor compartment in the floor of the galley, I am at a loss as to the source. We had the AC condensate tray back up and it flooded that compartment, got that drain cleared and OK, but under that deck plate I have water???

Any help is appreciated.

Mike

Hi there.......yes I closed on selling Endorfin last week. Sad but also happy. Need to move on for a while with other interests.
To answer your questions:
1. Never saw a vent filter for the holding tank. Just pumped frequently and used Odorloss
2. The water in the floor compartment is from the forward AC, I believe. Now under the deck plate......I don't know. It was filled with pink stuff for a few years and then I sucked it all out with a water vac. I sucked it all dry each year and it never was wet again. Not sure the source other than the boatyard put pink stuf in there for winterization.

Now I am bottles for a while but will, still stay here !!!

JHC

Congratulations on closing on Endorfin, someone got a beautiful boat! Local boater or is the boat travelling far away?

OK, I couldn't find a vent filter and wondered about a secret hiding spot. ;-)

I have sucked it dry a couple of times, and it re-fills, but I don't see water anywhere else. I'll just keep sucking it out, and try to get it dry.

Thanks for the help.

Mike

The buyer is someone from RI who is changing the name to l'Escapade. I assume it will be staying around NPT.
I am staying on this site even though Imwill be boat less for a while. It's all about downsizing as I approach retirement in a few years.

John, congratulations on the sale. Was your boat the one at Brewer St Boatyard? I drove by there the other day and noticed the stern of a Legacy 32 right up against the road.

Coincidentally, I sold my Whiaperjet last week as well.

Dan

Yes....that was the one. Now I have to sell my Zodiac Yachtline!
