Yeah, we're here. We've been out overnight twice now in the last month (both trips to downtown B'more). Going to try and anchor outside of Rock Hall this coming weekend to test out all systems and the new dinghy. Then on May 1st it's on the trailer and 1,000 miles down to Stuart, FL for our 1-month Abacos trip this year (woo-hoo!!!).

Still. Hoping to splash this week. We're ready, but the boats in front of and behind us are not. If the guy in front of me gets done, then we'll be in before this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed. Anyone heading down to the Bay Bridge boat show this weekend? We're going on Saturday.

I've been doing inside varnishing and some other work. Plan on taking my Fisher cover off on Thursday and start working the outside. Hopefully I will get splashed the first week in May.

Randy,
I believe The Bay Bridge boat show is not until next weekend.

We have been on the water for 2 weeks now. Went to St. Michaels on Sat. after the rain. Had dinner at the Steak and Crab house. Time for the weather to change. This Sat. is suppose to be very nice. Maybe head to Baltimore or Annapolis.

Oh, you are so right. Sorry about that. Got my weekends mixed up. Will have to rearrange plans now. This getting old stuff is really the pits. Thanks for setting me straight.

MIke,
You can come join my lake lanier forum if you want to talk to someone!

hahahaha. :)

Probably wont splash till first week in May. Opening up the trailer in Rock Hall next weekend. Hopefully will run and check systems in the boat this weekend.

Well, we're still boatless and too busy with the new house and new job to even think about getting another boat. This weekend we'll be at Still Pond.... laying tile. Oh, fun! We're getting close to finished...... very, very close.

Hey Mike, I'm gearing up for opening day (18th) spring rock on the lower Potomac. I've been following the other boards and they have been doing well with large rock in the bay w/ catch and release.

Not sure about the flats area but I heard that there was going to be some BASS tournament there coming up and it would throw any rock fishing out the window, with's the tournament's commotion of bass boats everywhere...

My boat has already been out for a spin. It's in water all year.

I'm going in either Friday or Monday....always welcome to make the Journey upto Chesapeake City to take a spin.

going down on Saturday to take the wrap off and touch up the bottom. We have 2 weekends to get her ready. Splash date is the 27th. Looking forward to some warm weather.

We'vce been de-winterized since New Years week, when we used the boat in the Keys and Biscayne Bay. We left the boat down in SoFL at another RO's property (Thanks DaleG!) without re-winterizing. Just brought it home to VA yestrday. We're ready to launch any time here at any boat ramp. .. But, the boat does need some serious cleaning and a good waxing.

"Winter Dream" is still on the hard. [:-grumpy]
This #!%* economy has forced me to do my own bottom work. [:-irked]

I've already spent an ENTIRE week laboring to remove the old bottom paint (6 + layers!) and will start the hull repairs and sanding this Sunday. I estimate that I'll need at least 4 good weekends to finish the prep, apply the barrier coat and new antifouling.

I can't tell you how much fun this project is... No really - I CAN'T!

So..... if I'm lucky I'll be wet for Memorial Day.
Just hope the price of gas stays down because my tanks are D R Y.

Rob
Mike- This board sure isn't what is used to be.
New job?? Glad to hear that.
What'cha doing now (other than setting ceramic tile, that is)?

Splashed last weekend, followed by pop, pop, bang and a failed engine. Naturually it was the starboard engine (the one with the power steering pump). Managed to struggle back into the marina on one engine and got the boat tied to a piling. A quick inspection found the cable to the electric fuel pump disconnected. This allowed the engine to run fine at idle, but as soon as I pushed up the throttle it quit.

Hopefully I will have better luck this weekend.

Mike

Just waiting for the weather & temps to get warm enough to apply fairing to some small blisters, barrier coat it & put bottom paint on. Meanwhile I've been rebuilding V-berth area; ceiling strips, shelving, etc. Hope to be in by middle of May.

The boat has been in the water but went to have the bottom done and the spring servicing on the drives done two weeks ago. Talked to the marina today and the boat is in the slings and will be going back in the water tomorrow morning. We are planing a trip to Fairlee for the weekend. We ended last year back up to the beach and having a bonfire Saturday along with a few adult beverages so we figured why not pick up where we left off. Right now it looks like 4 or 5 boats but if you are in the area, drop by.

Mark...you are always welcome, I'll captain and you can enjoy a cold beverage!....I'm going to wax this weekend and splash next week. I'll give you a shout.

The weather is looking good! Sunday might get a little breezy and they're now adding a 20% chance of rain, but Friday and Saturday should be fantastic. We'll head to Rock Hall Friday early afternoon and toss out the hook in Swan Creek. That'll be the night to fire up the grill. Saturday we'll take the new dink into town for a visit and dinner. If we hear some partying to the north, we'll know it's Joe and Debby! :-)
