Wondering how unusual it is that I've had so many issues with my new 300DA. Over the course of putting 85 hours on the boat we have experienced the following partial list:
Replaced A/C unit due to locked up compressor; replaced exhaust manifold gasket (blown); leaky hatch and arch; hardware that falls off or loose; lower unit trim way out of calibration; windshield wiper falls off during first use, etc. Anyone else with so many issues? A letter to Sea Ray has gone unanswered (it was not a rant but a fact based expression of concern about their quality). All of the issues have been warranty related but still has me disillusioned with Sea Ray's perceived quality.

Yes... yes ...and yes...

The compressor would be a non searay issue.. But when stacked with everything else u kinda are like WTF...

Write ur letter... u will get a response... They take this serious ...

sounds like their " quality control " department was out to lunch on this boat !!!!...............WTF ??????

Remsburg,

Having hade several Sea rays, they like anyone else has their days. I am the proud owner of a 420 that was built on a Friday.

I can also state without hesitation that Sea Ray has and will continue to work with me to make sure everything is taken care of.
I elected not to overload my dealer with issues that do not affect my ability to boat until the winter layup.

I suggest you call the Knoxville TN plant (where your boat was made) and contact someone in customer service.
Start with a phone call, send an email and folow up with a letter.
(I am sorry but all of the CSR folks I know are in Merritt Island.)

I would be extremely surprised if your issues are not addressed.

Jim
