Down here in Solomons we are having tides 2' above normal. I am in a covered shed and had to drop my bimini. My neighbor wasn't as lucky, his radar was smashed in two against the rafters. We have water covering the docks by about a foot at high tide. What a storm!! I stayed on the boat last night and slept like a baby thru the tides and 50 mile per hour gusts and white caps in the marina. What a rush!

We are in the West Rvr. and I was down today and had to step up onto the swim platform, and the marina did turn the pwr. off, for saftey. We were just to the stringers of our home pier, which tells me that Annapolis must have been flooded at Ego Alley, but didn't check.
Things back to normal here with higher than normal, but made out OK.

We are very dry here in California. In fact after two years in a row of less then normal precip, we are now "officially" in a drought. Can you ship some of the water here?????

Anyone over in Middle River area? New to me boat is there and in the water, marina not open Mon. Was down Sat and I would guess that if the wind blew any water into area, it would go over docks, not much freeboard between high water and over the top. Glad I put the canvas up.

Frog Mortar Creek was fine.

Sasafrass River (Georgetown)was fine this am (10am Monday). Looked like high tide but was still under the docks. It was higher on Sunday afternoon. Windy as all get out though.

I am near the bohemia (right across from the elk) The tides are high, but we aren't flooded. (yet) It is actually a little nice to have extra water under me. Anyone else enjoying this water? I am sorry to hear about you guys with the overly high tides!

Just looked at a few pics on another website of Lewes, DE where my slip is (glad I'm not in yet) and the water is several feet above the docks. Locals are saying its the worst flooding since Isabel in'03.

On the Potomac in Colonial Beach, I'm under cover and boat is fine. But the water was almost a foot over the dock. I only lost a cooler...

Update...I thought I faired pretty well Sunday night but I did have a casualty. My car was sitting in a low spot in the lot and water came up about 3/4 up the tires. I was able to start and move it thinking the only issue was 3 inches of water in the floor. Yesterday (Monday) I drove it about 120 miles with no problem then last night it wont even turn over. Sounds like I lost a starter to salt water ( I hope thats all). Today sun is out and floor boards can begin to dry. Still all in all quite an event.

Liz, we have plenty of water for you...do you have a method of transport? ;)

Sorry about your car.....Chesapeake City on the C&D was fine.

Mike, I don't know what kind of car you have but you may want to check the trans/diff fluid for water intrusion from the vent.
Sorry to hear. Best of luck!

psugar and froggy, Thank you for the nice words. It is a BMW 740il with alot of miles on it. The only value is sentimental as it is the car we bought when we found out we couldn't have children. 10 months later my daughter was born...lol. Now its just a well babied "Sunday" car.

Froggy, I checked all the fluids and no water intrusion.

I am learning about the ills of saltwater damage on NBR as we type. Quite an education

Nice car, I've driven them in the past. I had issues in the past with GM products getting water in the differential due to the vent right on the pumpkin. I think Beemers have a tube that goes up under the body so you may be lucky.
Oh well, in the off season you can de-salt the bugger....
Luck

Salt Peter / Dundee were a couple feet above normal. No damage. Just loosened the lines
