Anyone going to re-join the old Regal forum?

I'm a little miffed at this whole thing and may not be returning to the old site once it's up and running.

Would you go back?

If we go back what happens when somebody gets another thorn in there ear lobe?

The ONLY way I'd go back, but never leave here, is if Regal was the actual owner---no other person or entity.

Not likely with me... This site has many more members with many resources beyond just the regal brand name.

I think that Les (the gentlemen who owns/operates this site) has done a tremendous service to us by opening the doors for us to use it's resources. Hopefully he understands where all of the frustration most of us have been expressing with the old site and won't be offended by so many "homesick" comments from our members.

- Thanks for your help, Les. It was way cool of you to take us in!

Best regards,
Steve

If the old site data is ever recovered... it could be re-hosted easily elsewhere at low cost... or even integrated here as it is the same format for data and software.

Otherwise... it is just as well to stay here... lots of other good info about boating from non-Regal owners here.

Just wondering has anyone else been getting more spam to their email address that was regestered with the old ROC site? I have been getting a lot of emails lately with a pdf attachment. Is this a coincidence?

Me too! Especially the .pdf ones. Just maybe it IS the cause!

Up to now, nothing special this side of the Pound....I'll keep you advised...

I've got a problem!! I've found myself checking the old forum once or twice a day. Am I in need of therapy? Admit it---I'm sure a lot of you have done the same thing!

I'm going to stand up in front of all of you right now and declare that I am going to trash the bookmark immediately, and will not check the old site ever again!

Any advice on withdrawal pains?

I had already deleted it and put this site as my top favourite plus my home page at the house.

Haven't given the old one a thought since ie: moving on.

This site is also a good home plus very informative on various issues and models.

We will eventually re-build the information base as required and could even 'refresh' old ideas. (especially post boating season when the real withdraws start to kick in).

Kadoo's to Les and Rommer.

I deleted the old bookmark last night. It was sad. The old Regal Owners Club was one of the reasons I bought a Regal as my first boat. It was a friendly and helpful site. Hopefully BoaterEd will be much the same.

I just wish the search feature worked better here.

I'm confidant you will find BoaterEd every bit as much as that old site and far more!

Hi Kathy & Greg, (Knottiii Grotto)

Glad to see you back on the New/Improved Regal Owners Forum... and with your new name too..

Regards

The "search" feature needs a magic key. To obtain that key you need an anchor under your RO name/number [like mine]. To obtain this magic key/anchor, go here: Help Support This Forum - Join Today! at the top of the page!

Enjoy. We are happy to be of assistance whenever we can!

Hi everybody I'm happy to see some of you already here. I hope there is a way to notify the rest, I really had a good time in the old forum.

No, I will never go back unless Regal takes ownership. It seems like Regal would be interested but I am starting to get comfortable here in our new home. I still have a lot to learn about how the site works since I am a "newbie" to BoaterEd.

No, I won't go back. I've been a member on Boatered for quite some time and it really is a great site.
