Anyone have fuel delivered to their dock?

Me too, I was about to say saving fuel dollars was the least of his concerns, I would be pumping out and disposing of the 10 year old fuel!

Always used delivery because I knew I was getting fresh filtered fuel direct from the distributor. Not old fuel from leaking, wet underground tanks.

Last week, when I was in Cape Coral, I noticed that the price at Cape Harbour marina was $3.489 for gas. Is that ethanol-free gas there? If it is, there doesn't seem to be an advantage of getting the home delivery, which is $0.07 higher at $3.559. There is a slight savings for over 250 gallons, which is $3.459.

Thanks.

I had previously worked in an industry that cleaned larger (1MM - 5MM gal) and smaller fuel storage tanks utilizing various methods such as hot and cold butterworthing.
Because of that I have been inside many tanks including mobile tank trucks and I can assure you that a mobile tank in no way offer cleaner fuel than any other tank and a mobile tank will 'force' all impurities to be in suspension during distribution.

agreed, fuel is dirty and tanks collect the dirt however my fuel guy had filters on the truck. The truck fuel comes from those same big tanks you describe but avoids the storage conditions of marina tanks. I also don't think marina tanks are gen generally in very good condition.

Most marinas and trucks filter the fuel, I think issues comes from boat tanks more than anything including lack of use and turn around.

These prices seem real high... I paid 1.71 (plus tax, delivery) in Miami a couple of weeks ago before leaving for the Exumas. That was over 1000 gal, I think less is an extra 0.10

Not sure about CHM, but TPM has non ethanol fuel.

Thanks, Bruce. How much is gas at Tarpon Point?

A few weeks ago when very low, $3.29 pg including slip renter's discount. It may be 20 cents a gal higher now.

I have friends with secluded river front homes. They get a gas tanker come down with street prices. I forget the minimum, but we have no problem meeting it.

Thanks. How much more is it for non-slip renters?

Thanks!

IMO in the ethanol world of the US truck delivery would be preferred over marina gasoline of questionable age and water content, especially in spring.

Many marinas and other docks wont allow it however.
