Bob,
The quickest in and out is Hurricane Hole. It is next door to the Atlantis just under the bridge. However, their marina is mediocre at best. If you are looking for a night or two, Atlantis is definately tops.
Once down in the Exumas, there is fuel at Sampson.

There is a Texaco across from Atlantis, and the Nassau Harbour Club was where we stayed but we got a discount being members of the Royal Marsh Harbour Yacht club. Not the best place but it werks. Paradise Island is going to be a more pleasant stay (Hurricane Hole). Fuel may be the same price. Check the explorer chart web site. Don't recall markets on Paradise but there is a shopping center etc. right across the street from the NHC.

Hurricane Hole is a good choice. Half the cost of Atlantis, but walking distance to all of the shops and the smaller grocery and liquor store on Paradise Island. I think Hurricane Hole has the best fuel price in the area as well with good clean fuel, not that much more than S. FL. If you have a bicycle (or take a cab), you can ride over the bridge into Nassau and will be maybe 1/2 mile from a large grocery store with many supplies. The fish market is also right at the waters edge at the bridge entrance with a variety of seafood (great conch!). If you had kids with you, Atlantis is fun for a few days, and the water park is included in the dockage so it winds up being reasonably priced if you use the water park. Several very good restaraunts on Paradise Island.

Atlantis is ok if you want Disney world type place with 50' line at Ben and Jerry... Expensive (4.50 and up) and crowded but may be worth it for a night if two if you have kids. Water is metered and $$$$
Hurricane hole is ok, it is in paradise island (a plus security wise) and a little cheaper than Atlantis ($4) although it now belongs to atlantis. Not sure if it gives you access to Disn... Atlantis. Fuel Price Is ok, not always cheaper than across the channel. Water is $$$. Fuel dock is separate from the marina and often busy.
Nassau yacht Haven has flat rate water, $2 a ft, and a restaurant on site (Poopdeck, not bad)
Nassau harbor Club is also $2 a ft and flat rate water. They also have fuel often cheaper than hurricane hole and can refuel at some of the slips. A big plus is the shopping center across the street with big liquor store, big supermarket, radio shack and Starbucks...
In any case, this is Nassau so watch your back outside the marinas after dark
Btw, I called today and fuel is 5.07 cash, $5.19 CC at NHC. Hurricane hole is listed at 5.23 on the explorer site
Yes Samson and Staniel have fuel but it's usually 0.50 higher than Nassau so you really want to refuel in nassau... Power at Samson is also ridiculously high... We ve paid as much as $200 a day vs $50 flat at Staniel.
