Hi,
I just found this forum. I never was able to register on the old club site. I think it was because my hull # was so old. We have a 1975 regal 21' that as been in our family since its purchase, new, in 1975. It's yello and is approppriately named Mello Yello! She still runs on the original engine (300 horses) and posts 40 lbs of oil pressure at idle: not bad for such an old gal. Is there anyone else out there with a 1975 regal 21'????

To be honest I didn't even know Regal Marine was in business back then!

Share some pictures please.

you need to upload your photos to a separate website. photobucket.com is a free site and is really easy to use. once you upload the photos, then reply to whatever post you want to add the photos to here at boatered. go back to photobucket website and highlight the third item below the picture (it will have img and then a web address). copy that web address by highlighting the whole thing, hitting control-c to copy and then coming back to your post and hitting control-v. and that should do it.

Thanks for the help with uploading the pictures! I had the pleasure of touring the Regal factory recently and they actually had some old framed photos of our model boat (300LE), in their lobby.

Absolutely beautiful! No offense: Looks like an old Wellcraft Nova XL. (Back when they were built like tanks)

These photos were taken just a couple of months ago. The Mello Yello is in the shop right now. It is being refitted with a new gas tank.

Sharp looking boat. I would NEVER have guessed it is 32 years old!

My Dad bought the boat rb2@gr5t Pat Bowling Marine in Bryantown, MD. Is Pat Bowling Marine still in operation today?? Has anyone heard of it?? I have so many fabulous memories on this boat. My kids are shown in the pictures with my father. Now a second generation is enjoying Mello Yello.

I just redid the teak. I can't tell ya how many times I have done this over the years!!! If anyone is looking for good teak products I only use Teka A & B. It works incredibly well, folowed by any kind of teak oil!

It looks like Regal made their first boats in 1974.

75regal - where do you boat? It looks like Allatoona.

Regal started manufacturing in 1969, out of a hanger, a little closer in to Orlando than the present location on Jetport Drive. Your close on our boating loacation! Lake Lanier is where we put in.

That's a nice looking Regal.. I assume that you store her indoors on the trailer?

If so, I assume the gel coat to be original? Or has she been painted?

The gel coat is original. I store it in a blanket of tarps in a covered area. The gel coat never sees daylight unless she's in the water.

Hazzard,
It's good to know there is another Lake Lanier Local on the site!

Happy Boating!

75regal,
That yellow is really yellow..
You sure have done a nice job of keeping her looking good.. :)
Based on that, I'm sure you'll get many more good years and fun times out with the kids.

Thanks for posting the pics..

Thanks for the comments Dog Daze!
We like to call the color Mello Yello. It is a true testament to Regal quality!! Our kids are having a blast on the lake this summer!
