Looking for a good diesel mechanic for Cat 3208s in Annapolis area. Can't seem to get a hold of the guy that did survey and was using.

To do what kind of work? Do you want a cat mechanic or someone to do simply maintenance?
 
Need to do basically a 1000 hr service, remove and clean and test after coolers, etc.
 
If you are at a marina I would walk around and ask other boaters that have diesel engines who they use. Also ask the marina who they recommend. That is the best way.
 
Alban CAT is the main CAT dealer for this area. I have not used them for service, but have bought parts many times from them. Their marine service guys in Elkridge are very helpful and knowledgeable. What CATs do you have, the 375 or 435s? For something that includes aftercoolers or injection work, I would only use the best CAT service available.
 
Agree with Rick. If you are getting injector adjustments definitely need a Cat Mechanic. Cleaning the after-coolers or heat exchangers is an easy DIY job though.
 
Alban Cat works exclusively on my cats, and ask for Richey as the mechanic. None better!
