Does anybody know of any Apps for your Iphone that monitor your boat systems ??

As the temperatures get below freezing I would like to remotely confirm that my engine room heaters are working.
My E/R heaters can handle voltage spikes and short outages but not for extended times.
I am a liveaboard in Ct and sometimes travel for work or fun.
If I knew my heaters were not working I could call the Marina and have them check on it.

Guy here at work has a thermostat montor for his house. Alerts him on his iphone.
Not sure what it's called but google them.
There are alot of them out there now but you will need wifi at boat.

A couple of years ago I posted a link to a very neat system which used wireless tags capable of monitoring various parameters incl. temperatures, orientation, movement etc... All have various alarm levels you can set. Set connect wirelessly to a central box connected to a router and the web. Monitoring via PC or ios.

I don't have the link handy, Google smart tags maybe... Or search BoaterEd, it was about 2 or 3 years ago

The Tags were pretty cheap making them attractive for a number of functions on board a boat, even for some pumps or devices and get alerts if they run too long like water pumps or Vacuflush

The only reason I haven't installed any is that they required Internet access, so while good at the dock there were no way to monitor the tags underway especially in the bahmaas with no internet

I'm using a system from Imonnit. (imonnit.com) Cellular gateway, assorted sensors measuring assorted stuff. it set up to email and text me when it reaches preset parameters. (got a text from MoreNautiville today, she said she was cold, the lower cabin temp was below 39.) I have a couple of sensors, Upper cabin, lower cabin, engine room, river water temp, outside temp. Can monitor battery, electrical, a whole bunch of other sensors.

Not shilling in any way, just seems to work for me.

The system you are referring to is called "mytaglist" it works with the Kumostat app on the iPhone and has given me very accurate readings for the past couple years. The system is very cheap and can double as a security system to alert you of entry into your boat. I also have the water sensor tags in my bilge which will notify me if water begins to collect.
