I recently bought some of this product. It is suppossed to keep potable water fresh and eliminate odors.. Anyone use it and/or have an opinion about it?

I use it in my front tank. I can not use it in the rear tank because my watermaker a Spectra150 uses the rear tank to keep the membrane clean by flushing every 5 days. Any chemicals are strictly forbidden and could damage the membane. It works as advertised.

Seems to be working well for us.. We have well water at home and it's not the best.. Previously I would add a few drops of bleach on each re-fill. I'm wondering if the aquabon has anything in it to kill bacteria?.. The label doesn't say. We would get a slight sulfer smell from the well water if I didn't add enough bleach, and a slight bleach taste/odor if I added too much.. When NOTHING is added to the well water, we've actually had a brown discoloration to the water.. So far with the aquabon, no discoloration, odor or off taste.

I am pretty sure it does have a Chlorine based chemical to fight bacteria. I thought I remembered reading it on the label (small print).
