HERE IS THE EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM MARINEMAX, SHIP BOTTOM.
Hello All!
I would like to take this opportunity to update you on our plans for the 2008 Sea Ray Aquapalooza event at Tices Shoal on Barnegat Bay, Saturday, July 19th. As of today, we have nearly 200 boats signed up for a total of 1,000 people for this one event!
Location/Time
MarineMax will have a number of host boats anchored in the area with the Aquapalooza banners starting at 9am. You will be able to identify the location through the banners, MarineMax flags and live band on the barge. The event starts at 10am and runs until 3pm. For those customers that wish to follow us from the Brant Beach location, we will be leaving at 8:00am
What to Expect
If this is your first raft-up, no worries! MarineMax will help each boat raft up upon arrival. Entertainment will be provided by live band “Total Soul” who will be singing all your favorite hits! Due to the size of the event MarineMax is unable to provide refreshments for everyone. Therefore, you will need to bring your own food and drink for the day.
Photos
Digital photographs are encouraged as we will be creating a photo album after the event and perhaps some high resolution shots will make the MarineMax “Lifestyles” magazine. We’ll also submit your photos to the Sea Ray, Aquapalooza website!
T-shirts
Aquapalooza t-shirts are expected to be in very shortly. You will receive a second email confirming they are in and ready to be picked up. When this happens you will need to pick up your shirts at the Ship Bottom Location. T-shirts will not be handed out the day of the event nor will they be mailed to your home.
Please wait for the email confirming their arrival at the stores before coming in to pick them up.
Weather
While we hope for the best, we can not always count on Mother Nature. Therefore, if we do need to postpone Aquapalooza due to inclement weather you will be notified via email and a rain date will be set.
This is intended to be a fun event for everyone and a great chance to meet new boaters and have fun with old friends. Please be safe and enjoy the day.
