I am bringing my new boat up from Atlantic Highlands marina tomorrow and have gone over charts a million times. Is there anything anyone can think of to watch out for heading from there up the hudson? It will be low tide when I'm departing, but it looks like they have some deep water around the marina, and once I head up it looks pretty open and deep.

Fill your tanks there, the gas is cheap. Follow your charts, stay in the channel. Watch out for the ferries in NY Harbor.

Nothing else to watch out for.
 
What's the latest Diesel Price at the Highlands? I'm going to need to fuel up as I'm going up the Hudson on Saturday as well. Buy Oil Futures before I fuel up :)
 
Stay out of the naval security zone next to Atlantic highlands, they take it VERY seriously.

Oh, and watch out for the lighthouse. ;) (Inside joke King, the lighthouse is not an issue!)
 
Don't forget your ezpass, you need that to get under the Verazanno Bridge!
 
Also, for under the GWB and Tappan Zee bridges!

And don't forget the 2 tunnels you'll be going over.
 
MAn, the tolls are going to be more than the gas!
