How/what do you use the garage? Also, is the davit useful at all, especially with the swim platform? Thanks.

I keep my dink in the garage along with the motor. I also keep all sorts of swim toys on top. The davit is a huge help, my dink has a wood floor I can't lift it myself. The davit reaches the port side of the boat and just clears the platform. It is a small process but well worth it. When launching I lift the dink onto the platform and stage it there, then I pump it up (I keep it assembled but I let the air out so it fits) once it is inflated I lift again and swing out and launch then I lift the motor which has a harness with a strap so I can use the davit, I swung the motor out and lower right into place. The whole process is not a big deal. I had cleats install when I ordered the platform with the intent of leaving the dink on the platform if I was going to be using a lot maybe while traveling or something but I prefer to use the garage. I may pick up a cheap compressor to speed up the inflation process this is the slowest part of the job. I love having the space, The funny part is pulling into a new port and watching the crowd form as I open the garage raise the davit and launch the dink. It is such a huge space and most people don't even realize it's there. If you have any other questions feel free it ask.

I don't have the davit, when they built the boats with the extended swim platorms, they didn't install davits.

I keep a spare shaft, my dink & engine, my grill, extra life jackets and some spare parts in there.

Thanks. Un-inflated now makes sense. I have been trying to figure out how a dinghy would fit in there. Plus we want to put a swim platform on too. I wasn't sure if that would render the davit useless. We will likely get a platform with removable chocks to store the dinghy just for ease of use. We have a while to think about that though.

I knew the space was big but I did not comprehend how big until I actually got down in there.

Thanks for the offer on the questions. Since I am not on the boat yet I have to look at the pictures. Seems like time is dragging on now. I/we can't wait to get to FL and start making our trips north with it.

Thanks Dave. I really like your platform. Like the new helm too.

I have learned from the platform and would have made a few changes if I had it to do again we will talk when you are ready.

The garage was designed for a two person jetski in mind at the time of the boat's developement

Yes I know but there are not too many of those around at least ones that would fit. My Jetski would have to be out through a La Machine ti fit. The dink fits well with out air. I saw a pancake type compressor on sale at HF for $39 I may pick it up just for this, but the foot pump still is not that big a deal.

I most be bored I just looked up and ordered the compressor now I have to find some kind of adapter to pump up the dink. For $39 I couldn't resist found an add in the back of PMY.
