I was wondering if anyone makes the color Avacado? I need to repair some chip out areas on the hull. The boat is a SRV200 1972 SEARAY.
And is all Brands of GELL COAT the same?

Call Sea Ray Corporate. They may have something in their archives that could tell you how to color match. Worst case, remove another chip and have it color matched at a paint store.

Even if you got an original match from Sea Ray, the color won't match your boat. The color fades and changes over time with exposure to air and sunlight.

For repair puposes, gel coat is gel coat and it all starts off white. You best bet is to get one of those gelcoat repair kits that have multiple tubes of colorants. You add the colors to match your gel coat. They are about $20 or so.

You'll have to do trial and error until you get the right color. Mix a small amount, noting how much gel coat to how many drops of each color. Let dry and compare to the boat. When you get the right color, use that formula and scale up the recipie for the amount you need and apply it to your boat.
