I took Friday off to pick up my good ol' '86 Bayliner 3270 from the yard after bottom painting, and _finally_ solving my long standing rpm problem on starboard engine. It turns out that the starboard prop was overpitched by almost 2" !
I don't know why this wasn't caught by the surveyor, who was quite thorough in other respects.
But AT LAST, both engines make full rpm, and lots of speed at 3000 rpm, 14 kts instead of about 12!
I took the Admiral for a spin up to China Camp, and it was beautiful, but COLD! Glad to have the lower station.
I have to go to Boston tomorrow, hope it's warmer here when I get back.
