Bad Battery?

I have been having problems starting when I'm switched to my number 1 starting battery, Often get the clicking sound that comes with a dead battery. I tested all chambers of the battery with a hydrometer and they all showed good. Fluid levels are fine. I was able to start my starboard engine on the number 1 battery but when I tried to start my port engine it seemed to draw power from the running starboard engine to the degree that it stalled the starboard engine. Would that possibly be a bad starter on the port side? I can start both engines if I switch to number 2 or all.
