I took my Sea Doo for winterization last September and paid $100 for the service. This past weekend I went to recommision it for the summer and noticed that they left off the flush kit adaptor (basically the ski would sink without it). I called the shop and spoke to the shop manager and explained the situation to him. He told me that the jet ski did not even have that part on it. I assured him that it did and that in the seven years that I have owned the jet ski, it was always there. The part unscrews from the jet ski and allows you to attach a garden hose to flush the jet ski and/or run antifreeze to the engine. He insisted that it was not on there because he "sold new Sea Doos for years." I then asked him what years he sold the brand new Sea Doos and he said 1998 to 2003, I then informed him that mine is a 1997. So then he tells me that there was no was no reason for the guy who works on his jet skis to take that part off. He didn't have an answer when I asked him how else he would have fed antifreeze in to the engine. He also suggested that maybe someone stole the part where I had the jet ski stored. He didn't have much of a response when I told him it was stored at my house. I asked him what he was going to do do make it right and he told me that I needed to call the Sea Doo dealer here and get them to order the part for me at my cost and inconvenience.
I waited a few days and called back today to speak to the manager of the shop. I wanted to give him one last chance to make things right. He pretty much gave me the same song and dance that the first guy did. So now I am trying to track down and purchase the part that they lost.
I'm just furious.
I am thinking about calling the BBB and if it is appropriate then posting the name of the shop and location on here to warn others to beware.
