Follow Ghost's advice. Send a sweet-as-can-be thank you letter (snail mail) itemizing the points you "understand from our conversation of [date] that you agreed would be fixed." That's a polite but firm way to make your point. And mail it with "confirmation of mailing" (costs maybe a buck, if USPO still offers that service); it confirms that you mailed the letter (duh) but is not as formal or threatening as a certified letter with return receipt requested.
