Any opinions pro or con of this marina? We took a look at it this weekend and liked that it was an easy bike rude to fells point anfpd a bunch of other places. The docks seemed nice, personell nice and amenities great. Of course I have not spent a weekend there yet to see what the exposure is like, etc.

We have slipped there for 3 years now and like it a lot. They keep the place up well, parking is rarely a concern, they have a cool Tiki Bar on site, the pool is nice, and the heads are clean if not the best air-conditioned. Everyone in the office is very helpful, too. Just be careful where your slip assignment is - some require quite a long walk to get to.

We really enjoy being within walking distance to Canton (great restaurants), the Safeway, and Starbucks, too.

The slip fees are a bit higher than next door at Anchorage but include 3 haul outs per year and a gym membership to the gym onsite, which consistently winds "Best of Baltimore." There's been some issues with wireless availability - it seems as if it never works, but I haven't tried it lately.

We stayed there July 2010 as transients and really enjoyed it. The marina is large (it can be a long walk to the boat), the pool is great, nice tiki bar and friendly staff.

Thanks for the input. We are going to make a couple of other land trips to the area over the winter and may move in April if we like it well enough. We did walk the docks to where the 45' slips are and it is a bit of a walk but not terrible. We like the walking part as it is good excercise. All in all it was pretty positive. Like I said we took the bikes out and road to fells point which has a lot to do. There is a water taxi with a half dozen stops along the way. And they are very dog friendly.

The sucky part is I will have to now pay the sales tax for MD. Of course this will save me from paying when I move to FL in a few years but by then it would have been based on the surveyed value not sales price. Given that boats never go up in value it likely would have been significantly lower by then. Of course the tax rate could have been higher by then too. Did I mention I hate taxes?

BMC is a great marina, we high dried there for several years. Friendly, helpful staff, Amen for the pool and Tiki bar.

Was taking the club there this yr,,but too many complaints about distance to shore. Just some couch potatoes, that could use the exercise.
