Does anyone know what has become of Barrett Beach?
Was just looking at Google Earth, and it seems that they have rebuilt the marina there. It wasn't there on last years arial pic. It even looks brand new, with those plastic coated planks on the docks.
Does anyone know for sure whats going on there now that the National Park Service has taken it over?
I wonder if they are going to make it like Watch Hill and sailors Haven?
It use to be a great retreat when the Town of Islip had it, although not too many ammenedies other than water and electric, but the last time I was there, about 5 years ago, I anchored.
If what I'm seeing on Google Earth is true, it just may be a new destination.
