Trying to come up with some kind of list of bars...(I mean restaurants) from Babylon to Patchogue (and FI also)with docking and what town their in and how they are. I would like to go to Flynns and the casino but where exactly are they?
Thanks

flynns - ocean bay park
casino - davis park
in and out - kismet
many in ocean beach

Flynn's-Sucks
Casino- Overpriced

Dock at Flynn's and walk to the Inn Between

The Oar on the Patchogue river- hit or miss

Snapper Inn- usually decent.(On the Connetquot)

Watch Hill has new restaurant, haven't been but heard it's good.

Morgan's on the Swan river- OK

Not to hijack this thread but while we are kind of on the same subject...I am looking for some decent restaurants in between Seaford and Lindenhurst as a change of pace from Freeport...does anybody have any suggestions?

Oh and don't forget about Matthews in Ocean Beach.

Nothing in Lindenhurst that I know....but in West Babaylon there's (Franks) Dockside Cafe & Bar........behind the Bergen Point fuel dock.
It's " OK ".....for a quick bite/drink......and the docking is free.

We dock at Harbor Crab, it has a floating dock with easy access. The oar is tough to get a spot at. Harbor crab is normally packed, we order out a lot and eat on the boat.

Burgers are good and a staple, my wife likes the artichoke/crab dip. The entrees are a little pricey but seems to be decent food.

There is also the Riverview in Oakdale, nice place, lots of docking, huge dock to hang out and drink, I mean eat on. I heard there was a place in Amityville but I can't remember the name.

We tried Nicky's by the bay in the BayShore Marina. It was pretty good. I think the food was better than Frankie's

I'll second The River View (next to the Snapper Inn?), good drinks, wild time, some transient slips and not enough parking. Nice meat (meet) market for 30/40/50 something year olds. alan

Meat Market? Don't know what I would have done without that tidbit!

Never thought of the River View as such a place. The one side has the more formal style dining, but the bar side is more casual. Been there often, but I guess never when the pick-up seen was going on or I am getting oblivious just hitting 50. Now on the other hand the Snapper Inn at seems to be more of a party place at night. But both to me seem more for dinning than a singles (or not so single) meeting place. I do recommend both as good bars/dinning places.

Don, I was there a few weeks ago, and as long as it is not a tank top, which I know is your favorite :--) they will let you in. There were a few guys that came rolling in on their steel horses with tank tops and they actually gave or sold them Molly Malone tee shirts. Leather and a Molly’s tee shirt made me chuckle.

Benn to Molly's recently - service was horrible, food was only so-so. Next week, we stopped at Nicky's by the Bay
(at the gas dock coming into BayShore Marina - Food was GREAT, i had a tuna special with teriyaki and wasabi sauce, wife had the clams, even the kids were impressed - and my son is hard to impress - he's an up and coming Emeril (at age 13) :-)

Anyone try the Fatfish in Bayshore? I told its next door to the Bayshore Marina.

It's a cute place but the water is thin there and there is docking for only 2 or 3 boats. Food is so-so but the view is wonderful.
