I have a 3227 convertible. Charger is Charles C-Charger older LT-93, three bank. Only use 2 of connections. When I powered up last weekend one battery should fully charged, solid green led. The other was alternating between yellow led and green led. Manual says when yellow goes green fully charged. Nothing about alternatinmg back in forth. I think charger is fine and one battery was new last fall. The other is a couple of years old.
Thoughts please?

Thanks

check the charge with a hydrometer and measure the voltage with the charger on.

Often battery chargers have an in-line fuse for each battery. So checking the voltage with the charger on as pdecat recommends will ascertain whether or not your battery is getting charge voltage.

On the other hand, its unusual but not unprecedented for a year old battery to go kaput - especially if the boat has been in storage for the winter in cold weather.

I bought a battery tester years ago. It has two wires with large clamps on it with a meter. The meter tells the voltage of the battery. When you hit test, it puts a load on the battery and you can tell instantly if the batter is good or not. It also tests the charging system. The battery must be disconnected at the time of the test.

This is one the best tools I have bought since boating. I did have a battery go bad on my genset less than a year old. It was replaced under warranty.
