Can anyone recommend a GOOD.... 12v AGM...31 series...starting battery ( screw post )....with more than 925 CCA ?

I need a pair of them.

Don,

I've always had great luck with Interstate. I use them as a replacement in my cars when needed, have three of them on my boat, and two on the boat I share with my uncle. I'm not sure if they have one with the exact specs that you outlined, but I looked on their website and their "Optima Marine/RV SC31DM" looks like it might be close at 900CCA.

Thanks John......I'll check them out. Who sells Interstate locally ?

I think Family Auto up on Horseblock Road in Medford sells Interstate batteries. I'm not totally sure since it's been a while since I bought a battery. My guess is that most retailers won't have marine batteries in stock but can get them from their jobbers within a day or say. It's worth a phone call. Hy

Costco (here in FL) started selling nothing but intersates about 6 months ago

.....checked Interstate's web site.....there's a dealer in Amityville & Lindenhurst.....I'll go today to see if they still deal with Interstate. Looks like they also make the 6v batteries that my M/H uses.

I might as well change all 6 at the same time......I need to remove the 4-6V house .....to access the 2-12V starter batteries.

I don't want any problems this summer.

Yeah.....I did.....the Corvette too :( I bought a 37' Diesel motorhome and a Jeep Wrangler to tow behind it.

I need new batteries for the M/H........

Go to Sears and get their Platinum AGM, best AGM sold for the money. Same as the Odyssey battery used by the military and CG.

Interstate sells the funky spiral AGM's, not a fan, too many write ups about them.

OK.....Ill check out the Platinum....so far...its been hard to find an Interstate distributor that knows what he sells :(

On adavice from RN and others, I bought the Sears AGM Platinum....very pleased after ~ 3 years.

Yeah......It looked like a great battery too........12V...group 31....AGM...deep cycle....dual post....1150 CCA....great guarantee....only $259.00 each. Its the one Im gettin.

Now Im gunna need 4-6volt batteries too.....they can be either AGM or flooded....my Xantrex charger is programable to work on either.

I always get mine from Montrose in Babylon Village. They sell good marine batteries. The price is good and they last.
