I just bought my second boat, but its the only boat Ive had with dual batteries, a switch, and a battery charger. Its a 99 Four Winns Vista 258 with OEM battery charger.
I noticed last time I went to the boat (last weekend) that one of the batteries was near dead. I plugged in the shore power cord (we have the adapter to plug it into a regular outlet) and the battery charger had a red and green light lit. After testing out the battery once again, we established it was charging because now the lights were brighter.
Question. Does the battery switch have to be turned to "both" or 1 or 2 or does the battery charger not have anything to do with the battery switch?? I noticed when I turned the switch to 1 or 2, the green light went off the battery charger and just the red one was lit.
What gives?
