Can anyone tell me what they are doing with their similar setup? I have a battery for each engine and also a gen battery. Should I be running both engines off the same battery for security (jumper switch)? The problem is when I hit the power trim on the engine NOT using its own battery...the engine shuts down?????
Any ideas?

There must be a wiring problem there. This doesn't sound like an issue about which battery you are selecting. I would have someone qualified look at it. Since it sounds like a short-circuit of some sort (and you are not blowing a fuse) I would have it checked immediately. Maybe a Searay dealer could check it. But, they will be looking for incorrect wiring - which is not what mechanics usually do.

I did not realize how much power the trim pump uses, until I got an amp gauge on my battery system. It is a very high draw. It may be that your engine ECM is going under voltage under the conditions you describe. Once it drops below 10 volts, the ECM will shut down.

The problem was with the SB battery switch.
There actually is a designated house battery as well. I assumed 2 for the engines and 1 for Gen when in fact one is not isolated for the Gen...it is a house...
Thanks for the input...I am loving the 280!
